Q-12

What is so con-demn-ocratic about the report by Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) that says flats at the 2010 Commonwealth Games Village, each sold for Rs 2 crores, are so shoddily built that their life span may not be more than 20 years ?

a)   It should not have taken a CBRI report for us to believe. The fact that Kalmadi or any of his
Organising-Committee colleagues or officials of DDA or the Chief Minister of Delhi or her
ministerial colleagues or for that matter former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ashok
Chavan or his relatives or senior officials of Army etc do not own any of those flats, should
     have raised our suspicions

b)  CBI may refuse to lay its hands on this case since all evidence stands to collapse & get
destroyed after 20 years, thereby hampering its investigations further into it

c)  We are unnecessarily being cynical. Should we expect the Taj Mahal in Rs 2 crores, that can
stand the ravages of time? 20 years is good enough life-span. There are flyovers and bridges
that have collapsed while under construction
